Follow these 3 essential steps to install the app:
Join the Beta Group
Google requires testing group membership so your account is officially authorized to download the private test version.
Click the button below and join the group using the primary Gmail address connected to your Android device's Google Play Store.
Activate Your Test Access
Once you have joined the group, you must explicitly opt-in. Without this step, the app will remain hidden in the Play Store.
Click below to open Google's testing page. Click the blue "Become a Tester" button until you see the green confirmation message "You are a tester". Once confirmed, close that tab and return here.
Note: If you see an "App not available" error, make sure your mobile browser is logged into the exact same Gmail account you used in Step 1 (try using an Incognito window if stuck).
Download the Blipper App
Now that your permissions are fully activated on Google's servers, the app is ready for your device!
Click below to open the official Google Play Store app and install Blipper directly onto your phone.
Troubleshooting: If the Play Store still says "Item not found", Google's backend is experiencing a temporary sync delay. Please wait 5–10 minutes, force-close your Play Store app from Android settings, and click the link again.

FAQ
How do I switch to the Blipper keyboard inside a chat?
While typing in WhatsApp or any chat, look at the bottom right corner of your screen's navigation bar. Tap the small Keyboard icon to select Blipper.
Tip: If you see a Microphone icon there instead, long-press it for a second. A menu will pop up allowing you to choose your text input method.
Help! I'm stuck. How do I switch back to my normal keyboard?
Don't worry, you can switch back instantly using any of these three simple ways:
- Tap the Keyboard icon in the bottom right corner while Blipper is open.
- Open the main Blipper app and tap the Switch button.
- Go to your phone's Android Settings → Languages & Input → On-screen keyboard.
Which apps support Blipper?
The custom keyboard works seamlessly on platforms that support direct video input, such as WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, and Telegram. From inside the main app, you can also share clips to any communication app on your system.
Is YouTube supported?
Not officially. Blipper is optimized for vertical short-form videos (Instagram Reels & TikTok). YouTube links might occasionally work in the background, but there is no official UI support for them.
Why is the video quality optimized?
Blippers are designed for fast and lightweight reaction messaging in chats. The optimized resolution ensures clips load and transfer instantly across mobile networks without heavy data consumption.
